Happy New Year and welcome to the final Gears-Cast for the season. I know I’m a little behind posting this as it’s 2024 and the start to the next batch of content but hey, life be doing life things.
This week
and I sit down to talk about the most “meh” entry to the Gears-franchise. While Judgement has glimmers of cool ideas, it ultimately fails by feeling soulless and like $60 Multiplayer DLC.My main criticism is that the game is billed as story-rich prequel. It does nothing to add to the canon or play off of any of Traviss’ novels which is a big L, in my opinion.
I hate to be so negative on a game whose developer I actually quite like. People Can Fly gave us Bulletstorm and Painkiller which are silly, fun, and enjoyable games. Mitch also enjoyed Outriders so we don’t want to hate on the team behind it - those devs are capable of solid games.
Anyway, I’m not sure what we will cover next but until the next batch of Gears-games, this is the last Gears-centric podcast for a few months.
I hope you enjoy!

Mitch also is a co-host on the Divided by Werewolves Podcast.
Peace!
