Welcome back to another special episode with Jerry Oltion aka Ryan Hughes as we discuss the 1997 novels based on the PC hit, Shadow Warrior. Oltion wrote one of these books as did Dean Wesley Smith who I will be reaching out to soon to recruit for this show.
Jerry hung out with me a couple of months ago to talk about the novels based on the Unreal game that came out in 1998. The Unreal novels, also co-authored by Dean Weasley Smith, has a tragic publishing story so make sure to check it out.
I mention it a couple of time on this podcast but I think it’s wild Jerry was part of 2 eras. He contributed to the last revolutionary build engine game and then went on to contribute to the next wave of narrative first person shooters.
